Biographical Notes
Hiro Akinaga received the B.E., M.E. and Ph. D. degrees from the University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, in 1987, 1989 and 1992, respectively.
From 1992 to 2002, he was a Research Scientist at the Joint Research Center for Atom Technology of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Ibaraki, Japan. In 1997, he was a Visiting Scientist at Imec, Leuven, Belgium. Currently, he is Project Leader, RRAM Project, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, and Group Leader, Superior Nanostructure Group, Nanotechnology Research Institute, AIST. His current interests include a Semiconductor / Metal hybrid structure and its device applications, Nano-spintronics and Oxide-electronics.
