Biographical NotesEhud GazitEhud Gazit received his B.Sc. (summa cum laude) from Tel Aviv University after completing his studies in the Special University Program for Outstanding Students. He continued his studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he received his Ph.D. (with distinction) in 1997. After three years as an EMBO and HFSP postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he joined Tel Aviv University, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Biotechnology. He still holds a visiting appointment at MIT. He also serves as a Strategic Research Program (SRP) leader at the European Commission Nano2Life Network of Excellence (NOE). He is a member of the editorial boards of Amyloid, Current Chemical Biology, Journal of Bionanoscience, PLoS ONE and Nanomedicine. His research interests involve the study of protein folding, misfolding, and self-assembly, with special emphasis on amyloid fibril formation and peptide nanotechnology.
