Biographical Notes

Mark W. Grinstaff

Mark W. Grinstaff is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry at Boston University.  Mark received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois and was an NIH postdoctoral fellow at Caltech.  Mark's awards include the ACS Nobel Laureate Signature Award, NSF Career Award, Pew Scholar in the Biomedical Sciences, Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar, and an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship.  He has published more than 85 peer-reviewed manuscripts and given more than 175 oral presentations.  His current research activities involve the synthesis of new macromolecules and amphiphiles, self-assembly chemistry, tissue engineering, drug delivery, and nanotechnology.  Two of his technologies are in commercial development.
