Biographical Notes

Seong-Il Kim

Dr. Seong-Il Kim is a principal scientist of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and professor of Korea University. He is an expert of the growth of III-V compound semiconductor materials by using metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and fabrication of semiconductor devices, such as semiconductor laser diode, light emitting diode, and solar cells, etc. Recently he has much interest in the fabrication of the atomic layer deposition (ALD) system for the growth of non-volatile phase change material such as GeSbTe. He has also interests in the fabrication of nano patterns by using cost-effective diblock copolymer and fabrication of nano-scaled devices by using nano-sized patterns.
