Biographical Notes

Xiang Yang Kong

Xiang Yang Kong is a full Professor of Materials Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1999, and has been in Georgia Tech as a visiting Professor from 2002 to 2004.

Dr. Kong has published more than 30 papers on the top journals of materials physics and chemistry. He also held six patents for industrial applications. He received the Young Distinguished Scientist Award from NSF of China (2005). His recent research focuses on the assembly of nanoclusters on silicon clean surface for ferromagnetic and ferroelectric devices.
