Biographical Notes

Akihito Sawa

Akihito Sawa, Ph.D. has been a Senior Research Scientist at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) since 2001. He received B.E. and M.E. degrees in applied physics from University of Tsukuba in 1989 and 1991, respectively. He joined Electrotechnical Laboratory in 1991 where he studied high-Tc superconductors. In 2001, he received a Ph.D. in materials science from University of Tsukuba. His current interests focus on oxide electronics including resistive nonvolatile memories. He has published over 70 refereed journal papers.
