Biographical Notes

Reine Wallenberg

Reine Wallenberg is a professor of solid-state chemistry since 2000 at Department of Polymer  and Materials Chemistry, Lund University in Sweden. He also is the director of the National Center for High- Resolution Electron Microscopy (nCHREM) and one of the founders of Lund’s Nanometer Structure Consortium. He received his PhD degree from Lund in 1987 on the subject of nanoparticles and electron microscopy. Other major  research visits has been pursued at Arizona State University, Australian National University in Canberra, and the Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research in Osaka. His research interests include nanowires and nanoparticles, catalysts, mesoporous materials, and electron microscopy techniques for inorganic and biological materials.
